I am the son of a farmer and a Christian preschool teacher from Altoona, Iowa.  I graduated high school from Bondurant-Farrar near Des Moines, IA and have returned as the high school art teacher.  Into now my second year of teaching I can say that it consumes most of my waking life, pushes me mentally, emotionally, physically, and I absolutely love teaching art. 

​I graduated Magma Cum Laude and with Honors from Iowa State University with my Bachelors of Fine Arts in spring of 2009.  I focused in Studio Arts and primarily in chalk pastel drawings. I graduated from Drake University in fall of 2010 with my Masters of Arts in Teaching for Secondary Art Education. 

I currently live back in Altoona on our family's old farmstead. Between teaching, coaching, and helping out on the farm I try to get my drawings. Hope you enjoy.
